This holiday season, help bring our region’s history and culture into the year ahead. The Friends of the Galt Society’s year-end annual giving campaign raises funds for the Galt Museum & Archives. Through fundraising, donations, and sponsored events, the Friends foster public appreciation of the Galt and support educational programs that connect our community with the history and culture of our region. Your generosity builds on a tradition of supporting learning at the Galt. Friends funding has supported:

Delivering high-quality Archives genealogy programming and Speaker series events that support Archival research

Indigenous cultural events that incorporate Indigenous voices, history and perspectives that celebrate both historical and contemporary Nitsitapii Blackfoot culture

World-class museum exhibitions, interpretive spaces, murals, community programs and tours that educate and inform our visitors and the world

Special projects and events such as the Lethbridge International Film Festival (LIFF).

The Friends also help sustain future programming through the Friends of the Galt Endowment Fund, jointly established in 2009 by the Friends Society Board and the Galt Museum & Archives’ Board. Contributions to this fund remain permanently invested, with subsequent earnings supporting the Galt’s programs in the future. This year-end campaign is the final opportunity for donors and supporters to make financial gifts counted in their 2026 tax year. Make your year-end gift today. Thank you for supporting the Galt and helping our community explore its history with care and curiosity.
