Ross Sheppard High School is a proud community of learners who embrace challenges and celebrate successes in academics, athletics, fine arts, and service. ‘WE ARE SHEP’ represents the pride, tradition, and excellence that is exhibited in our halls on a daily basis. We provide a safe and inclusive environment that focuses on engaged teaching and learning. Ross Sheppard believes that all students can thrive and be successful in an environment that is kind, respectful, and safe. Our key strategies to achieve these successes are held within the terms of RelationShep, ScholarShep, MentorShep, LeaderShep, and PartnerShep. A long-standing tradition that represents our reflective practice is "If better is possible; then good is not enough" as a means to foster growth and success for all.
Event: The students at Ross Sheppard were advocating hard to reinvigorate the bikeathon and hold a 24 event this year as was done pre-Covid. Over 30 students are enthusiastically helping to plan the event this year which will be taking place at Ross Sheppard from 9:00am on Thursday, April 27th to 9:00am on Friday, April 28th.
Our students are incredibly passionate and invested in helping their community and those are are less-fortunate or at a disadvantage in living life to the fullest. Some of our students have known individuals that have benefited from the support of The Rainbow Society of Alberta and all of those involved in the event felt that it was a very worthwhile cause to support.
Fundraising goal: We are looking to beat the previous Shep record of $65,000 and go far above that amount this year!
100% of funds raised go directly to The Rainbow Society of Alberta. All monetary donations will be matched up to 50% through participating in the Shaw Birdies For Kids (BFK) presented by AltaLink!
