Mino-jichaag Mtigwaaki&nbsp;(Good Spirit Forest) is a collaboration of The Ferguson Forest Centre Corporation, the Municipality of North Grenville&rsquo;s Indigenous Advisory Circle and Indigenous community members. Your donation will cover ongoing and future costs of the site landscaping, signage, a fire pit, and plants. Any money raised over and above the goal will be used in phase 2, building a permanent arbour which would offer shelter in all weather for drum circles and gatherings. By supporting this project, you are actively contributing to reconciliation by helping establish a permanent site that brings indigenous and non-indigenous community members together to honour the continued Algonquin presence in this community and celebrate indigenous culture. Details The site was designed by local artist Finian Paibomesai in a manner that honours the culture, traditions, and history of the area which is part of the Algonquin territory. It is a welcoming and open space that is already being used to celebrate Anishinaabe culture and as a site for events.
