Our beloved Vancouver Alpen Club, established in 1935 by Austrian, Swiss and German immigrants and built in 1950, is turning 90 this year! This historic building is currently being redeveloped to continue its history as one of Vancouver’s most popular German Cultural Club. Unfortunately, we are facing some financial challenges and need a little bit of support to weather these stormy times, so we decided to ask for help via this community platform. We understand times are tough and money is tight - but remain hopeful that the community will stick together to support one of the oldest cultural clubs Vancouver - and help us to raise the vitally funds to keep us going as we plan and work towards the re-opening of the new and beautiful club space in 2026.  Please don’t forget: A little bit goes a long way. Here are a few more details: The Vancouver Alpen Club & Deutsches Haus Restaurant is not only the home of the legendary Oktoberfest celebration, but also countless of other cultural and community-based functions and events. Over its long iconic and cherished history, it has touched and enriched the lives of untold thousands from local communities to far and wide across Canada and the world.  This famous landmark located at 4875 Victoria Drive (corner 33rd& Victoria) is being re-developed to ensure its success and cement its legacy for all future generations to enjoy and experience. The redevelopment is scheduled to be completed in late fall 2026. Until then the club will need a little bit of support, so we are reaching out to you in hopes that this fundraising campaign will help us keep our beautiful cultural club alive.  We have put together 10 tasty, customized Vancouver Alpen Club gift packages to be given to the first 10 donations of $250 or more.
