1st Kamloops Scouts

1st Kamloops Scouts empowers youth through adventurous activities, fostering leadership, teamwork, and community engagement. We aim to develop skills and values that inspire lifelong learning and responsible citizenship.

We are headed to Camp Woods for our first camp of the year!

Cub Camp - Camp Woods

We have been working hard to plan an exciting adventure for our Scouts. This is a 2 part adventure where we would hope that the Scouts will participate in both parts. Exact dates and details are still just being polished up. Part 1: We will travel to Sudbury, Ontario for the first week of summer vacation from school. We would fly out on or about June 28th- July 5, approximately a week. The 15th Sudbury Scout group will host us for the week and we will make some new friends over the week. There will be a reasonable expectation of conduct and personal responsibility that the Scouts will be required to have on this adventure. Part 2:The Scouts from Sudbury will travel to Kamloops on or about August 17th-23rd and stay with us around Kamloops and Ruckell Point for approximately a week. In that week we would be likely planning a day trip into Kamloops to do some of the Kamloops stuff. We would need to organize some parents and minivans to transport our scouts and our new friends on this day trip. This trip is only possible as a very large part of it (all the travel) is heavily subsidized by Experiences Canada.
