Almaguin Minor Softball Association

The Almaguin Minor Softball Association fosters a safe, inclusive environment for youth to learn and enjoy softball, supported by community volunteers and local sponsorships, ensuring affordable access to sports and organized programming across the Almaguin region.

The Almaguin Minor Softball Association invites its players, immediate family members, and volunteers to attend our&nbsp;2026 Year-End Banquet and Annual General Meeting, celebrating another successful season of youth softball across the Almaguin region. The banquet will recognize the dedication, sportsmanship, and achievements of our athletes and teams. The Championship and Consolation trophies will be presented to the winning teams, along with individual team awards including Most Valuable Player, Most Sportsmanlike Player, and Most Improved Player for each team. Food will be served as part of the banquet, providing an opportunity for families and participants to gather, reflect on the season, and celebrate together. Following the banquet, the Almaguin Minor Softball Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place. The AGM will include a review of the 2026 season, organizational updates, and planning for the upcoming 2027 Season. All attendees to the banquet are encouraged to stay and participate. We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our players and volunteers and continuing to build a strong, community-based softball program for the Almaguin region. RSVP Required Players and family members are asked to RSVP by August 23rd, 2026, to assist with food planning and seating arrangements. Please include the number of attendees when responding. We ask that all players and siblings do not run or play inside the building, as any damages or extra cleaning fees will be passed on to the association.

Jim is not only a dedicated AMSA coach and board member &mdash; he is also a highly respected local photographer who specializes in landscape and nature photography. His work captures the beauty, scale, and character of Northern Ontario, showcasing the very communities our athletes call home. In addition to his photography, Jim is the owner of the Great North Arrow newspaper, further demonstrating his commitment to telling local stories and strengthening community connections across the Almaguin region. Jim&rsquo;s connection to the game runs deep. As a former professional pitcher and umpire, he brings a lifetime of experience, discipline, and passion for sport to his volunteer work with AMSA. His leadership on the field mirrors his eye behind the camera &mdash; focused, precise, and intentional. All proceeds from this silent auction directly support AMSA programming, helping fund uniforms, equipment, medallions, and our year-end tournament so local youth can continue to grow, compete, and build lifelong memories through softball.
