Let me tell you about Grace, who&rsquo;s in the photo above!&nbsp; She always wanted to have her own business, something to call her own.But growing up, she was told to be realistic. In school, she was encouraged to just go to college, because university felt like something she wouldn&rsquo;t be able to attain. Her parents, immigrants doing the best they could, wanted her to choose a safe path... &quot;Just do nursing Grace, it&#39;s a steady job, and you&#39;ll be secure.&quot; But she never dreamed of working a 9&ndash;5 forever...She just didn&rsquo;t know where to start with her own business. Every time she tried, she realized there were things no one ever told her. How to apply for grants. What was actually required. How much access mattered. Each step forward came with another barrier. That was until she found BLK OWNED. Through community, guidance, and support, things started to make sense. Doors opened, she took their Trailblazer Program, she made friends doing the same thing and her confidence grew. What once felt overwhelming finally felt possible. This is why we do this work!! A donation as small as $20 can become a ripple in someone&rsquo;s life. The push that helps them take their next step, build something sustainable, and believe in themselves. Your support helps us continue opening doors for Black entrepreneurs like Grace who are ready to build, they just need access.
