Opportunity Open is a charity golf tournament supporting BGC South Vancouver Island and the incredible young people we serve. This unique 9-hole experience brings together local businesses, community members, youth participants, and volunteer golf mentors for a day centered on connection, confidence-building, and opportunity.Designed to be welcoming for both experienced golfers and first-time players alike, the event features interactive challenges, community activations, fundraising experiences, and a post-event reception— all while helping create meaningful opportunities for local youth through mentorship, recreation, and support programs.Whether you’re playing for fun, connecting with your community, or supporting a great cause, every swing helps open doors for young people across South Vancouver Island.

Opportunity Minutes is a proposed storytelling initiative by BGC South Vancouver Island inspired by the format of Canada’s Heritage Minutes series. Through short documentary-style videos, the project highlights real opportunities, experiences, and pathways made possible for young people through community support, mentorship, and collaboration. Sponsorship and Community Opportunity Partnerships help support authentic youth-centered storytelling while increasing visibility for meaningful community impact and engagement across South Vancouver Island.
