Ever. Archibald then brought basketball to New Brunswick and established a basketball court at the St. Stephen YMCA. This court is the World’s Oldest Basketball Court. After a fire in 2010 and ever since, local volunteers have been working to save the court and build a Basketball World Heritage Center, allowing generations to come to enjoy the rich history of the world’s oldest existing court, dating back to 1893.
