Classic Theatre Cobalt

Classic Theatre Cobalt enriches the community through engaging theatrical performances, fostering creativity and cultural appreciation while providing a platform for local talent to shine and connect with audiences.

Every summer over the course of 8 weeks, Small Pond Entertainers holds a summer theatre program for youth ages 7-16 where the kids and dedicated instructors put together musicals they then perform here at the Classic Theatre Cobalt at the end of the summer. This year the musicals are The Little Mermaid JR. &amp; Legally Blonde JR. Show Dates and TimesFriday August 21st @ 6:30pmSaturday August 22nd @ 6:30pmSunday August 23rd @ 2pm Tickets:&nbsp;$20 General Admission Each show will contain the performance of both musicals separated by a 15 minute intermission. Tickets are for both shows.&nbsp; The Little Mermaid JR.&nbsp;Showtime: 6:30pm-7:30pm Journey &quot;under the sea&quot; with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney&#39;s The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney&#39;s Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen&#39;s most beloved stories, Disney&#39;s The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home &mdash; and her fins &mdash; behind and live in the world above. But first, she&#39;ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she&#39;s the girl whose enchanting voice he&#39;s been seeking. INTERMISSION: 15 minutes Legally Blonde JR.Showtime: 7:45pm-8:45pm Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally BlondeThe Musical JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show&#39;s instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass &mdash; leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink! Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle&#39;s boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she&#39;s not &quot;serious&quot; enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren&#39;t mutually exclusive. &nbsp;As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

What&#39;s it about?&nbsp;Something funny is brewing at Elsinore Castle&hellip; Something is rotten at the Elsinore Brewery. Bob and Doug McKenzie (as seen on SCTV) help the orphan Pam regain the brewery founded by her recently-deceased father. But to do so, they must confront the suspicious Brewmeister Smith and two teams of vicious hockey players. What is an interactive movie?&nbsp;An interactive movie is when a group of people watches a movie together and interacts with what is happening on the screen in a variety of ways. Sometimes you are booing a villain, singing along to a song, throwing snowballs at the screen, eating a treat with the movie characters, or cheering when the hero conquers their foes! It&rsquo;s loud and a little crazy but a whole bunch of fun!&nbsp;

The Princess Bride: Interactive Movie Experience

It is based on their 2007&ndash;2009 web series, Nirvana the Band the Show, and its 2017&ndash;2018 television adaptation, Nirvanna the Band the Show. As in the previous series, Johnson and McCarrol star as fictionalised versions of themselves in a musical duo called Nirvanna the Band as they attempt to book a gig at the Rivoli in Toronto.
