Climate Justice Edmonton is a grassroots, volunteer powered collective. Our mission is to build power and demand a just transition in Alberta. We educate, energize and mobilize Albertans to push for systemic changes, bold climate solutions and political accountability. We align our work to other local and global struggles for justice as we fight for collective liberation and a liveable future for all.We also manage an organizing office space in downtown Edmonton. A variety of grassroots groups utilize the space, including harm reduction groups, migrant rights groups, Palestinian solidarity groups, workers rights group, local transit and bike advocacy groups and other climate groups. We are one of the only spaces that is free for local groups to use, but we can only offer this valuable space because of the support of our donors! The majority of our fundraising goes towards paying rent and other expenses related to our office space, which ultimately supports a ton of rad local organizing! Please note that although we are a registered non-profit in Alberta (with our legal name Climate Justice Edmonton Society) we do not have charitable status and can not issue tax receipts.
