The use of colour in art is a powerful tool that can evoke emotions, create form, and guide the viewer through a painting. Mastering the art of colour mixing is crucial for artists seeking to convey specific feelings or ideas through their work. By honing the skill of colour mixing and understanding the emotional and structural implications of their choices, artists can truly make their art their own. Mastery of colour mixing allows artists to:• Develop a unique colour palette• Achieve desired tones and moods• Experiment with and refine their artistic style So let’s have some fun and play together. Join artist, Jaclyn Dionne, as she shares her techniques for colour mixing. In this session we will open up our tubes to experiment and mix colours that cannot be achieved straight from the tube, expanding our own personal ideas of expression through colour. Registrants will be sent a supply list suggesting items to bring for full participation. We will be using a split-primary limited palette (colours options will be provided). You can use water-colour or acrylic paints. While the techniques also apply to oil paints, due to sensitivities, we ask that oil paints not be brought to the session.
