CSA Carsharing Association

The CSA Carsharing Association promotes sustainable urban mobility by connecting carshare operators and partners. They advance standards, share expertise, and advocate for cleaner, efficient transport solutions to enhance shared mobility ecosystems.

Over two days, we’ll dig into why carsharing remains a cornerstone of sustainable, multimodal transport—and how operators, cities, and partners can keep it thriving alongside transit, micromobility, and active transportation. Expect practical sessions, honest conversations, and plenty of opportunities to swap ideas, stories, and lessons learned with peers who understand your work. Whether you’re running a fleet, designing user-centred services, building policy, or funding better mobility options, this is your place to connect, recharge, and co-create what’s next for carsharing.

CSA Conference 2026

Think you've heard the "AI and the future of cities" talk before? Think again.Timothy Papandreou is cutting straight through the AI hype and its doom-and-gloom to deliver a refreshing, real-world challenge to urban leaders: stop playing defense against new tech and start actively orchestrating the future. He will demonstrate how emerging technologies are already accelerating city planning and boosting public trust—but embracing this future requires transparency and a willingness to shift long-held institutional beliefs. Tim will leave the audience with a practical playbook to move past reactive planning to solve real urban challenges. Tim will be joined on stage after his presentation by Mike Buda, Executive Director of the Translink Mayor’s Council Secretariat for discussion and Q and A. Keynote Speaker: Tim PapandreouMost futurists predict the year 2030; Tim Papandreou is part of the team building it. A 2X Moonshot Veteran, he commercialized two industry-defining technologies from Google's Alphabet "X" Moonshot Factory, Waymo (AI for mobility) and Anori (AI for buildings), and now serves as the primary authority on Built-World Intelligence, the intersection of AI ecosystems, resilient supply chains, and urban infrastructure. Through his firm, ETA Advisors, he helps Fortune 500 boards, investors, and governments move beyond AI FOMO toward outcome-based accountability, drawing on a rare dual-operator background: first Chief Innovation Officer for San Francisco's transport agency on one side, Moonshot Factory operator on the other, a combination that's made him a sought-after bridge-builder for the UN, the World Bank, WEF, and the OECD. That same pattern-spotting instinct shows up in how he lives: a digital nomad based between San Francisco, Athens, and South Florida who leads a growing movement of global families, weaves indigenous wisdom into his strategic thinking, and mentors neurodivergent leaders, immigrants, and women in tech as a fierce advocate for those mainstream systems often overlook. He takes the work seriously, but never himself, making him not just an expert to hire, but a partner leaders trust to de-risk their future and scale what's next. Panelist: Mike BudaMike is a public policy executive with more than 20 years of experience in transportation policy, local government, governance, and communications. His current position with the Mayors' Council on Regional Transportation puts him at the nexus of policy, intergovernmental relations, and politics, working with Metro Vancouver's 23 mayors to develop and deliver their agenda to support and improve the region's transit network. Mike holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Victoria and has worked for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, local governments in Greater Victoria, and international NGOs in Canada and Australia.
