FascinAsian Film Festival

The FascinAsian Film Festival is a culturally specific film festival based in the Prairie region of Canada. The festival runs in Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton, celebrating Pan-Asian contributions to the film and media landscape.

Are you interested in making a movie but not sure where to start? Beginning your film journey can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to seeking funding and guidance. After the presentation, we will participate in guided self-planning to help you outline your next steps, followed by an opportunity to network with community members and Industry organizations. <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.heatherhatchproductions.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Heather Hatch</a> is an award-winning and seasoned First Nations writer, director and producer, having worked in diverse styles including short and long-form documentary, docu-series, children&#39;s television, and narrative script. Her work has been featured on CBC, CBC Kids, ATPN, Cottage Life, and TVO. Capturing people&rsquo;s stories, with warmth and sincerity along with a keen eye for meaningful visuals, Heather creates layered stories that incorporate parts of the artist, the land, legends and beyond. The series has amassed over 200,000 followers and over 100,000,000 views on their videos over social media! Other than being a cheeky lil nature host, Gordie was a finalist of the National Screen Institute&rsquo;s 2020 Totally Television Program and is an alumnus of the Corus Writers&rsquo; Apprenticeship program, where he had the pleasure to work on CBC&rsquo;s Run The Burbs.
