Gabriola Island Land Stewards Society

The Gabriola Island Land Stewards Society is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural environment of Gabriola Island through stewardship, education, and community engagement, fostering a sustainable future for both the land and its inhabitants.

What: This fundraiser is to support Snuneymuxw Nation members participating in Tribal Journeys up and down the Salish Sea from Vancouver Island, mainland BC and the Pacific North West of the US.&nbsp; The Tribal Journeys are a tradition experience to revitalize Coast Salish culture and empower youth in the community to become young leaders. Support for the Manson Family&#39;s Journeys in the Munu Canoe is a way we can support this cultural revival and is a step toward reconciliation. Organizers: Tobi Elliott and the Gabriola Chamber of Commerce are involved. A sponsoring organization was needed to ensure that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the Munu Canoe Family. The Gabriola Island Land Stewards Society offered to be that organization, so you will see their name in the form and as your confirmation email.
