Teacher Diaries: Reclaiming Niyyah in Month Two Teacher Nadia Aslam in conversation with Psychotherapist Hina Mirza September runs on adrenaline. You had the plan, the fresh binders, the intention you made before the first day. Then October arrives. You know your students now, really know them, including the ones who are going to be challenging. The novelty has worn off and the workload hasn't. Marking is stacking up. You're tired in a way that sleep doesn't quite fix. And the niyyah that felt so clear in August has gone quiet underneath everything else. This is the month nobody warns you about. It's also the month that decides how the rest of your year feels. Join teacher Nadia Aslam in conversation with psychotherapist Hina Mirza for an honest hour about what happens to educators in the second month of school, and how to find your way back to the reason you started. Nadia, former vice-principal and teacher, brings the classroom reality. Hina, registered psychotherapist, brings the clinical understanding of burnout, depletion, and what actually helps. Together they'll talk about naming the exhaustion without being defeated by it, holding your intention when the days are relentless, and the difference between renewing your niyyah and simply pushing harder. Date: Tuesday, October 7 Time: 7:30pm EST Where: Online via Zoom Cost: Free
