On l&#39;a transf&eacute;r&eacute; d&#39;un service &agrave; l&#39;autre, sans explications et sans soins. Il a pass&eacute; deux mois dans une chambre d&#39;h&ocirc;pital sans recevoir aucun service. Au bout de ces deux mois, on lui a appris qu&#39;il ne pourrait pas &ecirc;tre op&eacute;r&eacute; ici parce qu&#39;il n&#39;a pas de statut au Canada.Pendant cette p&eacute;riode, il a tout perdu : son emploi, son logement et son statut. 💔 🏠 Aujourd&#39;hui, au PontMonsieur C est h&eacute;berg&eacute; gratuitement au Pont A.P.P.I. Nous avons am&eacute;nag&eacute; nos locaux avec les moyens du bord pour qu&#39;il y soit le plus confortable possible.Nous l&#39;accompagnons aussi pour r&eacute;tablir son statut d&#39;immigration. Ces d&eacute;marches sont longues, et elles vont prendre beaucoup de temps. ⏳ D&#39;ici l&agrave;, Monsieur C n&#39;a droit &agrave; aucun soin ni &agrave; aucun soutien sp&eacute;cialis&eacute;. Il n&#39;a pas de mat&eacute;riel adapt&eacute;, seulement une canne trop petite pour lui. Chaque mois d&#39;attente lui fait perdre un peu plus d&#39;autonomie. ✨ Une op&eacute;ration simple qui peut tout changerLa chirurgie de la cataracte est une intervention courante, rapide et tr&egrave;s efficace. Au priv&eacute;, elle co&ucirc;te environ 10 000 $. On l'a transféré d'un service à l'autre, sans explications et sans soins. Il a passé deux mois dans une chambre d'hôpital sans recevoir aucun service. Au bout de ces deux mois, on lui a appris qu'il ne pourrait pas être opéré ici parce qu'il n'a pas de statut au Canada.Pendant cette période, il a tout perdu : son emploi, son logement et son statut. 💔🏠 Aujourd'hui, au PontMonsieur C est hébergé gratuitement au Pont A.P.P.I. Nous avons aménagé nos locaux avec les moyens du bord pour qu'il y soit le plus confortable possible.Nous l'accompagnons aussi pour rétablir son statut d'immigration. Ces démarches sont longues, et elles vont prendre beaucoup de temps. ⏳ D'ici là, Monsieur C n'a droit à aucun soin ni à aucun soutien spécialisé. Il n'a pas de matériel adapté, seulement une canne trop petite pour lui. Chaque mois d'attente lui fait perdre un peu plus d'autonomie.✨ Une opération simple qui peut tout changerLa chirurgie de la cataracte est une intervention courante, rapide et très efficace. Au privé, elle coûte environ 10 000 $. Mr. C suffers from a severe cataract. He spent two months in a hospital room without receiving any services. At the end of those two months, he was told he could not have surgery here because he lacks legal status in Canada. During that time, he lost everything: his job, his housing, and his legal status. 💔 🏠 Today, at Le Pont Mr. C is staying free of charge at Le Pont A.P.P.I. We&rsquo;ve adapted our space with whatever resources we have to make it as comfortable as possible for him. We&rsquo;re also helping him reestablish his immigration status. These procedures are lengthy and will take a long time. ⏳ Until then, Mr. C is not entitled to any medical care or specialized support. He has no adaptive equipment, only a cane that&rsquo;s too short for him. Every month he waits, he loses a little more of his independence. ✨ A simple surgery that can change everything Cataract surgery is a common, quick, and highly effective procedure. In the private sector, it costs about $10,000. That&rsquo;s the amount we&rsquo;re trying to raise.
