Political science student association

The Political Science Student Association fosters academic engagement and advocacy on pressing global issues, promoting dialogue and awareness through events, discussions, and community initiatives focused on social justice and political activism.

On Yom Al-Ard (Land Day), PSSA and SPHR will host a panel on Palestine featuring five distinguished guest speakers. Entitled &ldquo;The Struggle Continues: The Fight For Palestine Across Borders,&rdquo; this charitable event will raise funds in support of the Canadian Palestinian Foundation of Quebec (CPFQ). The program will commence with opening remarks, followed by a moderated panel discussion during which the speakers will reflect on their experiences with censorship and the professional and personal repercussions they have encountered for speaking out in support of Palestine. The event will conclude with a Q&amp;A session, time permitting.

Le jour de la Terre, PSSA et SPHR accueilleront un panel sur la Palestine avec cinq conf&eacute;renciers invit&eacute;s de renom. Intitul&eacute; &quot;La lutte continue : La lutte pour la Palestine &agrave; travers les fronti&egrave;res&quot;, cet &eacute;v&eacute;nement de bienfaisance permettra de collecter des fonds en soutien &agrave; la Fondation Palestinienne Canadienne du Qu&eacute;bec (CPFQ). Le programme d&eacute;butera par des remarques liminaires, suivies d&#39;une discussion en panel mod&eacute;r&eacute;e au cours de laquelle les intervenants partageront leurs exp&eacute;riences de censure et les r&eacute;percussions professionnelles et personnelles qu&#39;ils ont rencontr&eacute;es en soutenant la Palestine. L&#39;&eacute;v&eacute;nement se terminera par une s&eacute;ance de questions-r&eacute;ponses, si le temps le permet.

Diplomats&#39; Night&nbsp;is an opportunity for students to engage directly with diplomats and consuls, gaining insight into careers in diplomacy and international affairs. Our guest speakers will share their professional journeys, discuss the realities of diplomatic work, and answer questions about entering the field. The event will include an open Q&amp;A session, allowing students to explore career pathways, required skills, and the day-to-day responsibilities of diplomatic service. This event is ideal for students interested in international relations, public service, foreign policy, and global careers.
