The Redhood House

The Redhood House fosters community through art, expression, and vulnerability. We create spaces for artists and individuals to connect, perform, and celebrate their inner passions, encouraging everyone to embrace their authentic selves.

"September 1st, 1989: Dear diary..."""On the 21st day, of the month of September…""On Monday, September 14th, the Saint Cassian Chamber Choir would board the Cyclone roller coaster at 6:17 PM."" If you recognize any of these lines, this party is FOR YOU! The Redhood House is taking over Paupers Pub for an afternoon dedicated to the musicals that made September their month! From Heathers and Little Shop of Horrors to Ride the Cyclone, and much more of this campy nostalgic teenage nightmare vibe! Expect your musical theatre favourites all afternoon, live performances, special appearances from Toronto theatre casts, drinks, dancing, and a room full of people who love theatre just as much as you do. It’s a musical theatre party bringing together audiences, artists and productions from across Toronto’s theatre community. Come sing, dance, discover what’s hitting Toronto stages next, and give summer the dramatic send-off it deserves!

September Musicals Party

Red is the beginning of everything.Come and join us for the launching or our artistic organization! A RED night with incredible performers, games, drinks and all! A bit about who we are: The Redhood House is an initiative created to build a community and connect people through art, expression, and vulnerability. We believe that all of us carry a little piece of red within us. The red of art. The red of passion. The red of romance. The red of the visceral. Anger, desire, intimacy, impulse, love, and everything we often keep hidden inside. That ache, that urge to express, to create! To be seen and heard, to spread and sprout, to bloom and blow us away! This group of people that celebrate and embrace vulnerability is the redhood. Our goal is to create spaces where people can gather, perform, experiment, connect, and celebrate expression in all its forms. We want to build nights where artists, performers, creators, and curious souls can share that one thing we all have in common: our vulnerability. We want to give you the space to promote yourselves and connect with each other! Whether professionally, personally, experimentally, or simply because you have some red inside aching to come out. A place where your redness comes out, where you surrender vulnerably, and become unapologetically yourself. If you are a performer, feel free to send us your material through our Open Call Form!
