True Friend SIL

True Friend SIL is dedicated to creating a supportive home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in South Frontenac Township, enabling them to live independently and thrive within their community and support systems.

True Friend Supported Independent Living Campaign&nbsp;is a community-driven fundraising campaign to support the construction or purchase of the first True Friend Supported Independent Living home in South Frontenac Township. &nbsp;This home will provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to live, age and thrive with dignity, independence and connection to the community they have always called home. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for this fall&#39;s campaign as we formulate our design plans and start incurring project costs. &nbsp;This is expected to be a 2 year project. The campaign invites donors to support our future home by&nbsp;choosing a suggested donation amount they wish to contribute or any amount of their choosing.&nbsp; Selecting an amount opens a secure payment window to process the exact amount of the donation.&nbsp; With each donation, donors become part of this important community project. Together, this campaign will reflect the collective commitment needed to help us reach our campaign goal. Beyond creating one home, this campaign will establish a model for future supported independent living homes in other rural communities, helping create more opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to remain connected, supported and included in the communities they call home.
