United Way Of Sault Ste Marie And District

United Way of Sault Ste. Marie and District fights poverty and enhances community well-being by connecting resources to local needs, supporting initiatives like Harvest Algoma to ensure food security and environmental sustainability for those in need.

Rally your team for The Big Pull, Fire Truck Edition, and put your strength to work for our community. Teams from across Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma will come together to pull a fire truck across the finish line, all while raising funds to support local programs and services through United Way. This exciting inaugural event is made possible through the generous support of Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services, who are providing the fire truck that teams will compete to pull on event day. Together, we&rsquo;re helping more people in our community access food supports, mental health resources, programs for children and youth, financial assistance, and other vital services when they need them most. Each team (of 10 to 12 people) commits to raising a minimum of $1,000, turning friendly competition into real community impact. Whether you&rsquo;re pulling the rope, fundraising with coworkers, or cheering from the sidelines, every contribution helps keep critical services close to home. Register your team, take your turn at the rope, and show what local caring power can do. When creating your team, please enter $1,000 in the Team Fundraising Goal box.

Marie &amp; Algoma District is proud to partner with Sammy&#39;s Backpacks. By working together, we are combining our efforts to reach even more children and families across Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District. Our goal is to provide 850 backpacks to local students this year. Every donation brings us one step closer to ensuring every child has the tools they need for a successful start to the school year. Together, we are investing in brighter futures, one backpack at a time.
