Waves Of Hope Inc.

Waves of Hope Inc. supports groundbreaking breast cancer research at Brandon University, aiming to improve outcomes for women affected by cancer. Their mission is to empower local research that has national and global significance, fostering hope in the community.

You&#39;re invited to A Day of Hope and Education&mdash;a one-day event focused on learning and living before, during, and after breast cancer. Join other breast cancer survivors and supporters to learn about the latest info and research happening in Manitoba. Brought to you by Waves of Hope, Westman and Parkland&#39;s breast cancer survivor dragon boat team, this inspiring day will offer practical information, supportive resources, and meaningful conversations for those impacted by breast cancer. The day will include lunch and refreshments, as well as various presentations on top-of- mind topics related to the latest breast cancer information and research. The day&#39;s keynote speaker is Dr. Mousumi Majumder, Canada Research Chair Tier II in Genotoxicology and the lead behind Brandon University&rsquo;s Breast Cancer Cell &amp; Molecular Research Lab, which launched in 2023. Dr. Majumder&#39;s lab is currently working on research not being done anywhere else in the world. Come for connection and learning, leave empowered with hope, knowledge and support.
