Women's Centre Of York Region

LXCL:WCYR supports women and their families to break barriers, overcome challenges of trauma and abuse, and build brighter futures. Through group education, workshops, counselling services, peer support, and case management, we support women and their families with employment, mental health, housing, and the necessities of life. Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed, feminist approach, we provide opportunities, support, and resources to women on their journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Stretch & Support is a gentle outdoor stretching class created to help you pause, breathe, release tension, and reconnect with your body in a welcoming community environment. 🌿 The class will be led by Valerie K., a movement and presence coach with over eight years of experience helping women build confidence, body awareness, and a deeper connection with themselves through movement. The class is open to all levels, and each movement can be adapted to suit your comfort, mobility, and experience. No previous stretching experience is required—just bring your mat and join us for an evening of mindful movement, fresh air, and meaningful community connection. By registering, you are supporting the Women’s Centre of York Region and helping women and families access programs and services that promote safety, stability, confidence, and well-being. All registration proceeds go directly to the Centre. 💜Reserve your spot now—attendance is limited to 50 participants.
