Climbing the highest peak in Africa, Kilimanjaro.
This is the major challenge that Dr. Jean Roy, a full professor at the Department of Medicine, hematologist and clinical researcher at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital (HMR), will take on next June. A journey that does not begin at the foot of the mountain, but rather started a long time ago.

We all have the power to change the world! Dr. Roy's personal challenge will help advance research into promising new cancer therapies. His goal is to save more lives.
"Research is an instrument of future well-being. If we did not develop blood cancer research 50 years ago, we would still have only a 10% survival rate for adults with leukemia, but now we're over 50-60%, thanks to science. Research allows us to solve cases with no apparent solution," says Dr. Roy.
You too can help save more lives: make a donation today to help Dr. Roy reach the peak of Kilimanjaro and, together, we will beat blood cancer. All donations will go to the endowment fund of the Maryse and William Brock Chair for Applied Stem Cell Transplantation Research at the Université de Montréal.
Thank you for your generosity!
