This 2026-2027 academic year, students in Criminology (starting with CRM 360: Criminalizing Global Migration) and a growing coalition of&nbsp;campus partners are engaged in a &quot;We&#39;re Better Together: Our Canada Includes  Immigrants and Refugees!&quot; Campaign inspired by the Canadian Council for Refugees and their partners&#39; work (<a fr-original-style="" href="https://bettertogethercanada.ca/about/" id="isPasted" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">https://bettertogethercanada.ca/about/</a>) to combat racism and exclusion and build more inclusive communities. Fall 2026 TMU Walk with Uprooted People for FCJ Refugee Centre (Part of We’re Better Together TMU Migrant Solidarity Campaign)

This 2026-2027 TMU students in Criminology and beyond(!) with campus and community partners are engaged in a &quot;We&#39;re Better Together: Canada includes  Immigrants and Refugees&quot; Campaign (<a fr-original-style="" href="https://bettertogethercanada.ca/about/" id="isPasted" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">https://bettertogethercanada.ca/about/</a>) inspired by the Canadian Council for Refugees and their partners&#39; work. This campaign foregrounds that in Canada we speak many languages, come from many places, and across our differences we must look out for each other! We join in rejecting those who use divide and conquer tactics to distract us while chipping away at the healthcare and services we all need and letting housing prices spiral. We want to be a country that welcomes newcomers, and we expect our leaders to make Canada a place where all families can thrive. CRM 360, &quot;The Global Criminalization of Migration and Resistance&quot; is a third year course that addresses the exclusion of migrants and refugees globally and foregrounds resistance to exclusionary policies and trends. It engages in proactive acts of solidarity with migrants and immigrants in Toronto.
