Pothi is a divine ‘Shrimad Bhagwat’ literature which is going to stay at Sthapana throughout the entire Katha. On the first day of Katha, the devotees welcome this holy book ‘Pothi’ respectfully and celebrate with divine kirtan in a traditional way.

Varaha means Boar and Lord Vishnu took birth during Satya Yuga as a boar to save the world and held Earth on the two tusks from under the ocean. Lord Kapil was the incarnation of Lord in the age of Satya yuga and his teachings are recorded in Kapila Geeta. He was a Sidhha enlightened being, appearing as the son of mystical sage Kardama Muni and Devahuti.

The story of Sudama and Krishna’s friendship teaches many lessons about love, faith and a divine relationship. Parikshit was the descendent of Pandavas cursed by Rishi to die in 7 days, a sage Shuka recites the divine Bhagavata Purana and he attained Moksha.
Pitru Shanti Yajamans

Family who wish to donate & dedicate the Bhagwat Katha to their late parents, late grandparents or Pitru in general. 1. Upon receiving registration form & the payment will confirm the Yajaman Spot. 2. Yajamans will perform Pitru Shanti Pooja on first day of Katha (June 17th at 4:00 PM to 5:30PM) before Katha starts (Pooja items will be provided). 3. Yajamans may bring photos of their late Pitru (no more than 5” x 7” size) whom they’d like to dedicate the Bhagwat Katha to. 4. After performing Pitru Pooja on the first day, Pitru Photos will stay at ‘Pitru Sthapan Table’ at the hall until the Katha Purnahuti on June 23rd Evening. 5. It is suggested (but not mandatory): Any family member of registered Yajaman would come every day and bow down (or offer flower petals) to their Pitru photos to dedicate the daily katha Shravan to them. 6. At the end of Katha & Purnahuti on 23rd evening, Yajamans must take back their Pitru’s photos.
