Pothi is a divine ‘Shrimad Bhagwat’ literature which is going to stay at Sthapana throughout the entire Katha. On the first day of Katha, the devotees welcome this holy book ‘Pothi’ respectfully and celebrate with divine kirtan in a traditional way.

In his last moments, lying on the bed of arrows, Bhishma pitamah sang prayers glorifying Lord Krishna. Bhishma Stuti reflects Bhishmadeva's great love for Lord Krishna and his heights of spiritual attainment.

Varaha means Boar and Lord Vishnu took birth during Satya Yuga as a boar to save the world and held Earth on the two tusks from under the ocean. Lord Kapil was the incarnation of Lord in the age of Satya yuga and his teachings are recorded in Kapila Geeta. He was a Sidhha enlightened being, appearing as the son of mystical sage Kardama Muni and Devahuti.

In all Yugas, Lord Vishnu has always come on earth to protect the interest of Dharma which we have known as DashAvatara , Bhagwan Shri Vaaman, Shri Rama and Shri Krishna has its own significance and glorious stories of their leela. These are not only history but still a live feelings when we become a part of this celebrations.

The people of Brij started to worship the Govardhan mountain for the rain after Shri Krishna’s advice. To this, Indra Dev got angry and caused so much rain that it led to floods. But, to break his ego, Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Mountain with his single finger and let the residents

Rukmini was the princess of Vidarbha and had heard many brave stories about Shri Krishna made her wish to marry Lord Krishna, after facing many struggles and family politics how she finally met Lord Krishna is very fascinating and exciting story with full of spiritual lessons.

Sudama was Shri Krishna’s childhood friend born in a poor family and a true devotee of Lord Vishnu. The story of Sudama and Krishna’s friendship teaches many lessons about love, faith and a divine relationship. Parikshit was the descendent of Pandavas cursed by Rishi to die in 7 days, a sage Shuka recites the divine Bhagavata Purana and he attained Moksha.

Family who wish to donate & dedicate the Bhagwat Katha to their late parents, late grandparents or Pitru in general. 1. Upon receiving registration form & the payment will confirm the Yajaman Spot. 2. Yajamans will perform Pitru Shanti Pooja on first day of Katha (June 17th at 4:00 PM to 5:30PM) before Katha starts (Pooja items will be provided). 3. Yajamans may bring photos of their late Pitru (no more than 5” x 7” size) whom they’d like to dedicate the Bhagwat Katha to. 4. After performing Pitru Pooja on the first day, Pitru Photos will stay at ‘Pitru Sthapan Table’ at the hall until the Katha Purnahuti on June 23rd Evening. 5. It is suggested (but not mandatory): Any family member of registered Yajaman would come every day and bow down (or offer flower petals) to their Pitru photos to dedicate the daily katha Shravan to them. 6. At the end of Katha & Purnahuti on 23rd evening, Yajamans must take back their Pitru’s photos.

Family who’d like to donate and dedicate each Prasang of the day from the list below: 17th June : Pothi Yatra- Katha Prarambh 18th June : Aambo Bhishma Stuti 19th June : Shri Varah Bhagwan & Kapil Bhagwan Pragatya 20th June : Shri Vaaman Ji Avatar, Shri Raama Avatar, Shri Krishna Avatar 21st June : Govardhan Utsav 22nd June : Shri Rukshmani Vivaah 23rd June : Shri Sudama Charit – Parikshit Moksha & Katha Purnahuti Prasang Yajaman family to also get the chance to perform the aarti on that day shall bring their own Aarti thali and hand it over to the volunteers prior to start of the Katha.

Family who’d like to donate & perform aarti at the daily katha Yajaman families will bring their own aarti thali at venue. Names will be announced to come forward to perform aarti.

Family who’d like to donate & support towards cost of the daily prasad distribution. On weekdays prasad shall be pre-packaged for distribution for take away so that volunteers can wind up and leave the space latest by 7.30pm.

Family who’d like to donate & support towards daily prasad distribution cost. On weekends prasad shall be cooked and served hot at the premises.

Banner will be displayed at the venue for all 7 days of Katha and business shall be advertised via social and other media for their support of the Katha.
