Please arrive 5 minutes early to sign in, no need to print your ticket. If you are feeling ill on the day of the program, do not attend. And all at the intersection of Stanley Park and Downtown Vancouver? Don’t believe us? See for yourself! Join SPES staff for a special site visit to the Stanley Park heron rookery and learn all about how these beautiful and large birds navigate the canopy, build their nests, and raise their fledglings. You’ll also discover how Stanley Park Ecology Society stewards and supports the heron colony by protecting them from predators and monitoring their success in summer surveys. Organized by a collection of non-profits, artists, and other institutions, the Celebration is a two-week series of events to appreciate the bird species of Greater Vancouver.
