Its main goal lies onenhancing humanness in its most raw and genuine form. This method creates a safe andhonest place that embraces and acknowledges our inner world, both weaknesses andstrengths, to learn how to use them through reflection and striving for furtherdevelopment. It is an interconnected training system that utilises movement as a base tocreate, confront and play within crisis. It provides the timespace to get to know one’spersonal form and how to use the body to broaden the range of movement vocabulary.As an holistic form, it is inspired by tools from specific lineages, such as breath,meditation and the inner mechanics of yogi principles, while also utilising themovement and philosophies from kalari payatt. This interwoven structure combinesand rearranges these tools and ideas in a proposal for a new approach. In these classes,one can expect a dedication to raising awareness to individuality and inner workings,an awakening of the senses that leads to an ability to control and manage externaltriggers. Rooted inyogic philosophy, a tradition passed down through his family, he completed his yogateacher certification at the Shivananda Yoga Centre. With a rich foundation in danceeducation acquired in India, Rakesh specializes in Kalaripayattu and contemporarytechniques under the guidance of Jaychandran Palazy and Dil Sagar. He further honedhis skills in improvisation composition under the mentorship of Katie Duck and DavidZambrano. Presently, Rakesh is actively engaged in performances with acclaimedgroups such as Ultima Vez, Roosana & Kenneth Company, and Bollwerk. Noteworthychoreographic contributions include productions like "A Dream of Silence," "Yatra,"and "May Us Bless the I." Anticipated in 2024, his solo production "because I LoveDiversity" explores micro-attitudes and promises a premiere at Push Festival. Over aspan of 14 years, Rakesh developed the Intact Method-Interconnected dance practise,garnering global acclaim by seamlessly blending yogic principles, Kalaripayattu, andcontemporary dance.
