FEELING GOOD ABOUT SPORTS - Campers have fun being active and learning about the importance of exercise and nutrition for their physical and mental well-being.

FEELING GOOD ABOUT ART - Self-expression plays an important role in our relationship with ourselves and others.  Campers play fun games and activities that highlight multiple forms of creative expression.

Camp URU is a day camp for youth between the ages 9-12, created by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington. This camp is an ideal setting for life changing, fun-filled adventure and a wise investment in your child&rsquo;s future. Campers learn how to build strong self-compassion and positive self-image while learning healthy lifestyle choices and gaining an understanding of mental health, managing strong emotions, creating a balanced life and feeling good.Camp URU is located at the BHive at 900 Tower St. S., Unit 100A and is led by two counsellors with up to 10 campers. Your child will experience great programming through active games, fun activities and open-discussions. Camp registration will include 8 hours per day of programming, Camp URU t-shirt, a care package with the supplies needed for each day and more!&nbsp;We ask that you register 2 weeks prior to camp start to ensure your child receives a Camp Kit.Weekly registration is $150 per camper, however, thanks to our sponsors, we do have subsidized spots if Covid-19 makes the registration fee difficult. To receive financial assistance, please complete <a href="https://centrewellington.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca/camp-uru-financial-assistance-application/">application for financial assistance</a> prior to registration.&nbsp;Application will be reviewed.
