(Harlem / House) Ballroom exists thanks to Black and Latine Trans and Queer folks. Realness is a pillar Category of Ballroom rooted in survival and engages themes of gender binary. Please come with a basic knowledge of Realness, and be ready to be critiqued on your walk (ie. be in your respective gender category and breakdown effect, make up, etc.). A camera will be present to facilitate instruction. All attendees are expected to participate and engage.
