All proceeds raised from the auction support the BOW Bursary Program and ongoing workshops. Any donations to the auction are welcome - thank you!! Ideas of items to donate include hand crafted items like jewelry or artwork and photography. We also welcome re-gifted items - gifts or prizes that you received but will never use or did not like (unopened). Please check expiry dates. We could also include gently used outdoor clothing/gear. Cash, EMT, and Debit/Credit payments available. &nbsp; Upon your arrival at Brigadoon Village, proceed to the Dining Hall (large building on your right &ndash; look for the BOW BANNER) to check in and get your room assignment. Registration will take place in the Dining Hall from 8:00am to 11:30am Friday.If you are booked to arrive Thursday evening, please arrive after supper any time between 5:00pm and 9:00pm. There is no program on Thursday evening.&nbsp; Parking is located before the Dining Hall. Participants may park near the lodges to unload personal belongings; however, all vehicles must be returned to the main parking areas past the Dining Hall, down the driveway. To keep emergency access open, parking in front of the Dining Hall is not permitted.&nbsp; Cell service is limited onsite. The phone number for Brigadoon Village you can provide to family is (902) 681-8100. Unless there is an emergency, messages will be delivered during mealtimes. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the workshop or are delayed in arriving at Brigadoon Village, please advise us via email&nbsp;bownovascotia@gmail.com&nbsp;&ndash; we check it regularly.&nbsp; All classes will be mainly outdoors, so you will need to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for Nova Scotia Fall weather. Layers, rain gear, and rubber boots are recommended. Bring a backpack, or carryall bag, and a water bottle for your off-site classes. Snacks will be available.&nbsp; Class equipment will be provided. Review your class descriptions before you arrive. If you choose to bring your own equipment (i.e. fishing rods), you will be responsible for its safekeeping. All equipment will be inspected by instructors for appropriateness and safety before you can use it in class. Please notify us upon arrival if you have brought your own equipment.&nbsp;*Please do not bring your own firearms.&nbsp;&nbsp; Accommodations are bunkhouse style with a common area. &nbsp;Each room can accommodate 3-6 people and there are 4-5 rooms per lodge. Lodges are heated. Mattresses are provided; however, participants must bring their own sleeping bag and/or bedding &amp; pillow. Washroom and shower facilities are located within each lodge. You should bring your personal items such as towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, toothpaste, sanitary protection, prescription items, fly repellent, sunscreen, etc.&nbsp; IMPORTANT: Brigadoon Village is a scent-free, nut-free and shellfish-free facility &ndash; products containing these are NOT to be brought onto the premises. &nbsp;Meals &ndash; Meals are served cafeteria-style. The food is good, and there is plenty of it. Tea/coffee/water will be available throughout the weekend &ndash; please bring your travel mugs! There are small refrigerators, and kettles available for participant&rsquo;s use in each lodge. Brigadoon&rsquo;s Chef can cater to specific dietary requirements, as per your registration. They have a separate gluten-free/dairy free kitchen area. A vegetarian option will be offered to those who have indicated this as a requirement. &nbsp;Alcohol &amp; Smoking Policy - Alcohol is permitted, however, the expectation is for participants to consume responsibly. Those who do not comply will be asked to vacate the facility without refund. Smoking is permitted on the camp property in designated areas only. &nbsp;BOW Instructors - All our instructors and administration team, both female and male, are volunteers who give freely of their time and knowledge. Many of our volunteers have been with the BOW program since it began and represent some of Nova Scotia&#39;s best outdoor leaders. We strive for a respectful environment for all. &nbsp;To better serve our participants year-round, we have transitioned our BOW clothing options online - with items purchased online being shipped right to your door! We will still offer select merchandise options during the BOW event for those who wish to purchase on site.
