Gemini #1 est une œuvre réalisée dans l’esprit du photogramme. Elle s’inscrit dans le même processus que la vidéo Ode aux cœurs endormis (2018), présentée en septembre dernier au Centre CLARK. On y retrouve une figure floutée évoquant un hibou à deux faces.
David Martineau Lachance est né à Québec et travaille à Montréal. Il a complété une maîtrise en arts visuels et médiatiques à l’UQAM en 2015. Son travail a été exposé dans une variété d’institutions publiques et privées depuis 2012, dont Le Centre CLARK, l’OEil de Poisson, SKOL, L’Écart et la Galerie FOFA. Ses oeuvres vidéo ont également été projetées depuis 2006 dans plusieurs festivals internationaux, notamment le Berlin ZEBRA, Fantasia et le Festival international d’animation d’Ottawa. Parallèlement, il a participé à diverses résidences, dont le 33e Symposium d’art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul, il compose de la musique et fabrique des costumes pour le théâtre (MITF New York).
