What are the possibilities for transculturation in the context of globalization? How can individuals build a sense of self when the gaze of others is often fraught with prejudice? Could the current circumstances increase the risk of youth becoming &lsquo;&rsquo;exposed&rsquo;&rsquo; in the sense of Moro&rsquo;s concept of the exposed child (1989)? How can young people navigate questions of affiliation and belonging while avoiding identity uncertainty that may lead to withdrawal or polarized trajectories? This event aims to bring together a diverse range of participants from various disciplines who work with migrant and racialized youth and their families. Drawing on the complex linguistic and migratory dynamics of the Quebecois context, this symposium seeks to foster a broader reflection on young people&rsquo;s identity construction and explore effective ways to support them.
