Nargis Khowjazada, Afghanistan and Afghan Gilr’s 2025
Framed 17 X 21 inches

Training in painting and graphic design, Nargis is a multi-talented artist who has defined a truly unique style for herself.

Since her time painting the city walls of Kabul in her home country of Afghanistan, Nargis has always been committed to portraying messages in response to her political and physical environment.

Nargis difficult transition to Albania and then Canada has similarly inspired her to portray heartfelt messages through the lens of art.

Despite the extreme mental stress and challenges that have come along with her journey, Nargis resilience has led to her working as a volunteer in the Aga Khan, as well as her participation in a large art exhibition in the museum.
