Show Some Love (For Affordable Housing on Denman)

Renowned Denman Island musician Jeff Honsinger is showing us some love by donating his talents for this concert, to be held at the home of DCLTA board member Sue Hammell.  DCLTA Board members will show you some love by donating wine, tea, and treats. They have also donated some jewelry for a silent auction – in case you’d like to show some love to your Valentine with a gift of one of these distinctive pieces.  Space is very limited so avoid disappointment by buying your ticket right away. Tickets are $30 each. Funds raised will go toward work being carried out at the works yard on Piercy Road to determine if it’s viable to apply to subdivide and re-zone the property for a seniors’ affordable housing project. Property owner Emcon Services Inc. has generously offered to donate the western segment of this property (adjacent the health centre) if subdivision and re-zoning is approved.  We hope to see you Feb. 11. We are also planning other community outreach and education presentations this year on topics such as land trusts, making a bequest, and sustainable energy options like rainwater collection, grey water recovery, and solar power systems.
