At Latitude 53 we are excited to present a round table discussion on February 16th, 2024 9:30am-12:30pm “Safe Spaces for Community within the Arts” with facilitators Shima Robinson, Austin Mihkwâw, and Kieran Quirke, along with live ASL interpretation. In this discussion, we hope to provide insight and foster discussion into how we as community organizations can provide a safe space for everyone. Facilitators will discuss outreach methods, harm reduction, residual care, Indigenous considerations into community issues and mentoring opportunities, first aid, bio-psycho-social considerations, and social supports. We acknowledge the support of Edmonton Community Foundation in funding this project.
