Trees of Tomorrow Women's Circle is a sacred gathering where women of all backgrounds can come together to deepen their connections with each other and the earth. Through the wisdom teachings of Indigenous Elders from Nakota Sioux, Nehiyaw/Cree, and Dene traditions, we will learn how to become the trees for future generations - rooted in love, wisdom, and grace. Join us in this powerful circle of sisterhood, where we will plant the seeds of hope and healing for a brighter tomorrow. Once a month, we will gather in sacred circle from 1-4pm around the warmth of a crackling fire inside a traditional tipi. Together, we will share stories, songs, and prayers, creating a space of deep connection and community. After our time together, we will share a potluck feast, nourishing our bodies as we nourish our spirits. Please bring a comfy pillow or cushion to sit on, as we settle into the peaceful embrace of the tipi (when weather appropriate), and come dressed for the weather, ready to welcome the beauty and power of nature. Led by knowledgeable Elders over the course of 10 months, this cultural program provides a safe and nurturing space for women to learn, connect, and grow. Through immersive experiences and daily guidance, participants gain the skills and inner strength needed to step confidently into their future. Our gathering place is located just 25 minutes northwest of Edmonton, on the traditional lands of Treaty 6 and 8 Territory, which is the ancestral home of the Nehiyahw Nakota Sioux, Dene, Saulteaux, and Metis Peoples. As we come together on this land, we honor the rich history and wisdom of these Indigenous communities and the deep connection they share with the earth. We look forward to sharing this sacred space with you, as we deepen our connection to ourselves, each other, and the land that sustains us.
