Join us for our 5th annual Pumpkin Visit Day!! Pumpkin visit day is a chance for you to drop off your unpainted & uncarved pumpkins for the animals to enjoy and spend the morning enjoying their company!  Visit with the animals -- hear their stories and help us raise necessary funds for their care!

The Visit Day is educational, showcase some of the amazing animals that live their lives at the sanctuary and give you a glimpse at sanctuary life. Visit Day time slots are approximately 1 hour and allow guests to experience our passion. You get to come and visit with the animals, and hear their stories. There will be: • Sanctuary Merch • Drop off points for your Pumpkins – we will only be accepting unpainted/uncarved pumpkins • Drop off points for your empties for our bottle drive • $5 bowls & $20 buckets of veggies to feed the animals (All proceeds go to the animals care) • Mini Guided Tours • Raffle tickets will be on sale Tours will see the goats area, meet the big pigs and visit with the sheep and potbelly pigs. For safety, our tours do not allow guests into the goat or big pig area. Carroll's Animal Sanctuary and Rescue is a RESCUE first. This is the animals home, this is where they feel safe and loved. With this in mind, not all animals will be able to visit with guests on visit days. Some animals may not want to socialise with our guests, some animals may not come to visit when the humans call them. This is their home, and we allow them to do as they please during visits. Carroll's Animal Sanctuary and Rescue takes in senior, special needs and hard to adopt animals. This means that not all of the animals look like “typical” animals. Many of the animals that live here are senior, have physical disabilities that are closely monitored by our veterinarian and have experienced abuse/neglect at the hands of their previous humans. Safety Rules We will ask our guests to follow ALL of our safety rules to ensure that the humans and animals enjoy the visit day. Carroll's Animal Sanctuary and Rescue has the right to stop a tour at any point if the guests are not following our safety rules. 1. Please do not chase, yell at or corner the animals. 2. Do not put your hands near/in the animals mouths or between the goats horns 3. Please keep all children with you at ALL times. 4. Do not feed the animals; unless it is the purchased veggie bowls. 5. Close all gates after you have gone through them 6. If you have socialized with other pigs, have a pet pig or play with pigs please wait 48 hours in between visits before coming to the sanctuary 8. Do not wear clothes or boots that have been worn at other farms and have not been thoroughly washed before coming to the sanctuary Photography Carroll's Animal Sanctuary and Rescue is a RESCUE first. We love that you want to take pictures to commemorate your time here. However, we ask that you do not take pictures of any PINK potbelly pigs. Many of the pink potbelly pigs have come from a rescue that we are not allowed to publicize. Before Coming to the Sanctuary Before you arrive at the sanctuary, please make sure you have completed the following: 1. Signed our Liability Waiver form. This form needs to be completed for each human. Humans under 18 years must have their form signed by their legal guardian 2. Please make sure you are wearing close toed shoes, and clothes you dont mind getting dirty 3. The entire tour is outside, so please bring water, sun screen or a hat if needed 4. Please make sure you have no COVID-19 signs or symptoms. If you do, please do not attend. Rain/Bad Weather This event is drizzle or shine. In the event that it is pouring rain, we will reschedule for Sunday November 6th. In the event that we have to reschedule, we will reach out via email to everyone who purchased tickets.
