The 60th Anniversary Symposium (the Symposium) is envisioned as a vibrant celebration of both heraldry and the achievements of the Royal Heraldry Society of Canada (RHSC) over the past 60 years. &nbsp;The event will gather members and supporters in a festive and inclusive environment, honouring traditions of the Society and fostering connections with the Canadian Heraldic Authority (CHA), international heraldic representatives and indigenous communities in our nation&rsquo;s capital. The event will explore the journeys of various ethnic groups across Europe, major migrations from overseas to Canada and the impact that the immigrant and indigenous cultures had on each other through the use of symbols.&nbsp;The study of heraldry allows us to trace the changes and impacts of symbols on a nation&rsquo;s identity. &nbsp;Through thought provoking presentations and interactive discussions, international leaders in the heraldic community, this Symposium will explore the significance and impact of many cultural journeys in defining the rich diversity of heraldic inheritance and identities across the globe.
