Beginning her DJing journey amidst the liberated frequencies of pirate radio & the psychedelic embrace of DIY rave in Seattle, her expressive practice has only continued to evolve & connect her inner world to those around her. SanjeetListen: https://soundcloud.com/sanj-eetSanjeet’s DJing style is a force to behold. Having worked in Toronto’s DIY electronic music scene for a decade, Sanjeet believes in the power of embodied compassion, where music transcends space and time and acts as a truly political tool; a living, breathing act of revolution and storytelling. Witness the untold unfolding for yourself 19:30-21h30 Hex PListen: https://soundcloud.com/harmonyexpressHex P is a Montreal-based DJ inspired by the power of music to unite, arouse, and transport dancers. A house aficionado at heart, Hex P also loves blending bouncy techno, sassy electro, tender breaks and the occasional ballad. You can often find her at sunrise, lost on the dancefloor, or Monday nights on CKUT, weaving creative, dynamic sets on her radio show Harmony Express.Hex P will make you dance 18h00 - 19h30 AquaventureListen: https://soundcloud.com/aquaventureAquaventure is the ever-transforming music project of Sami Halimi, a local staple of the Montréal electronic underground. Better known as an event organizer (Oxygen, Salle de Sport, Zona), his work as a music producer remains a mystery to most, and is certainly expected to captivate the audience with a new live set made up entirely of new and unreleased original material. Come 17h-17h45 for some swirly-twirly, dub-infused concoctions of technoid beats and unnameable mutations of chilled-out ambient and deep, old skool moods. No Cosmos (Quartet)Listen: https://nocosmos.bandcamp.com/No Cosmos is Scott Bevins on trumpets and electronics, Summer Kodama on bass and Kyle Hutchins on drums. A Montreal band that skillfully mixes jazz with experimental music, they are also the organizers of Writer's Block, a monthly workshop series where instrumental sound encounters written word. Their latest LP was released in February 2024 (check out their Bandcamp!) This trio of unpredictable creators and experience providers will play at 16h00 while you can peruse the art market, snack at the food bar and trip the light fancy. Lather Rinse RepeatListen: https://soundcloud.com/lather-rinse-repeatLather Rinse Repeat explores music across cultures, decades, and genres. She weaves through organic, silly, and dreamy themes in tunes ranging from house to global club music to jazz funk. Pushing retrofuturism on the dancefloor, she never forgets her main driver: for listeners to be exposed to the new and underplayed or the vintage and recontextualized, and just have fun! Come see the master at work from 14h00-16h00 This event made possible by the generous support of the Conseil des Arts de Montreal
