Sep 17: Teshuvah and Mikvah: Being Born Anew
$10
Teacher: Aaron Rotenberg Date: Tuesday September 17th, 2024, 7:30pm-8:30pm Description: As we enter fall, the outdoor swimming season may be coming to an end, but we can still jump into the new Jewish Year with a mystical teaching about our current holiday season. We will look at a text from the Hasidic master, Zvi Elimelech Spira of Dinov (1783-1841) known by his most famous work, the B’nei Yissaschar, who understands the 40 day period from the beginning of month of Ellul until Yom Kippur as a mikvah (a sacred bath) in time. We'll explore how we can use this time of year to refocus our energy on our most important values and qualities and be reborn as our best selves.
