The workshop is designed for beginner and intermediate art learners. Each participant will create a two-dimensional piece of art that expresses selected aspects of the participant’s personality. If time allows, those participants who wish, will be given time to share their work with the group at the end of the workshop.

This workshop allows participants to follow the facilitators step by step instructions to create a painting. Elsa will select an image that is of interest to participants, that offers a reasonable level of challenge for beginner and intermediate art makers in completing the painting, and that can be successfully completed in the time frame.

Elsa will give a short presentation on the organ of batik. Participants will be guided through making a collage using batiked squares of paper. Those participants who wish, will be given time to share their work with the group at the end of the workshop.
