<h2>About the Lecture</h2>The Chiniki Lecture Series is the cornerstone of a decades-long partnership between the History Graduate Student’s Union and the Stoney Nakoda Nations, inspired by the desire to engage the broader community with new research in Stoney Nakoda and Western Canadian history and to enact Truth and Reconciliation tangibly.  <h2>Topic</h2>The 2024 lecture topic is inspired by the book The Recollections of an Assiniboine Chief by Dan Kennedy, which saw the 50-year anniversary of its publication in 2022.  <h2>Speaker</h2>The main speaker for the 2024 lectures will be Dr. Tanya Harnett, artist and Associate Professor at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Native Studies and Department of Art and Design. * Registration is appreciated but not required.
