The Lakeland Humane Society invites you to "Raise the Woof" with us on Friday, June 16! Join us at the LHS on HWY 55 where local cover band Tiago James is gonna ROCK the house! Enjoy a cold beverage in the sun while taking in the live music - all in support of an amazing cause! The Lakeland Humane Society is a non-profit, registered charity who relies entirely on community donations to care for the over 500 animals that come through our doors every year. In addition to our day-to-day operational costs, we are still actively working to raise funds towards the next phase of our project, which involves building a new roof over our existing dog kennels. Our plan is to cover the current roof which is in a state of disrepair, but also extend it over the outdoor portion of our dog kennels to shield the shelter dogs from the elements and allow them to enjoy their outdoor time all year round. Events such as "Raise the Woof" ensure we can provide daily care for animals in need, while also upgrading our facility to make their time spent here as comfortable as possible. On June 16, we invite you to come enjoy a local live band while helping us raise money for the animals who deeply rely on us. Enjoy a stocked bar by drink ticket purchase, snacks from the Pourhouse Bar & Grill Food Truck, and if you feel like trying your luck, we'll also be holding a 50/50 draw at the event.
