more than 30 years, the Comox Valley Hospice Society has been caring for the
dying and supporting those who love them.&nbsp;
Care, comfort and compassion is offered through programs including:

Counselling for patients, families and caregivers

·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Grief and bereavement support groups and spiritual
care<o:p></o:p>

·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Caregiver respite and support including Reiki and
Healing Touch<o:p></o:p>

·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Delivery of electric hospital beds to patient homes<o:p></o:p>

·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Advance Care Planning education and support<o:p></o:p>

This
year, in conjunction with our care partners, we are now able to offer
residential hospice care at Hospice at The Views. The appreciation we see every
day from patients and families is beyond heartwarming.&nbsp; For example, a
younger woman who was dying wanted little more than to feel the sun on her
face—as her bed was moved through the door in her room to the patio overlooking
the water she just kept saying, “this is so nice. . .this is so nice”&nbsp; as
the sun was on her face and a light breeze moved her hair. Your support helps
us make these moments happen.

Without
donations, hospice care would be drastically reduced.&nbsp; More than two-thirds of the costs of
providing this care comes from community donations from people like you.&nbsp; <o:p></o:p>

You
make it possible for hospice care today. . .and, for hospice care to be here
tomorrow!
