This February 26th, Bayan in BC, Malaya BC, Global Pinoy Diaspora Canada, and Vancouver Coalition 4 Leni & Kiko (Angat Buhay Philippines)  will be commemorating the EDSA People Power uprising (February 22 to 26, 1986) that led to the ousting of Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos. This event is part of BAYAN Canada's nation-wide events to commemorate EDSA People Power.  Join us for an afternoon of snacks, cultural performances, and storytelling from those who experienced martial law and EDSA I firsthand. We will discuss the importance of people-led mass movements in creating genuine change in the Philippines and how we can continue to take action today!  This free event will take place on Sunday Feb 26th from 3-5 PM in-person at 3409 East 49th Ave (Park Place) and on Zoom.
