Pysanky (Ukrainian Egg Decorating) with Lisa Hrabowsky
$125
In this class, Lisa will teach you how to make pysanky (PIH-sahn-kih), Ukrainian decorated Easter eggs. Pysanky are made by drawing wax lines on a raw egg using a stylus called a kistka, then dipping the egg into a dye bath after each wax application. Finally, the wax is removed for a spectacular reveal! It’s like doing batik, but on eggs instead of fabric.
At the end of this class, you’ll have a beautifully decorated Easter egg! You will also receive a pysanky kit containing the supplies you'll need for the class and get to take the kit home with you. Workshop fee: $125 (Class fee: $80 + Pysanky Kit $45). Kit includes: brass tipped Ukrainian Kistky set (fine & medium), 6-colour dye kit, pure black beeswax sheets 22g
