This session will introduce participants to an overview of Two spirit identities and knowledge that has been lost due to colonization. We will discuss languages and beliefs of Two Spirit people and how they had a role within their communities prior to colonization. In addition we will discuss how colonization worked to erase and silence Two Spirit people and the impact it has done on the community.
