Airdrie and District Hospice Society

Humour for Hospice is a comedy night featuring two Award Winning Comedians this year. Head Liner JEAN PAUL and opening act LAURIE ELLIOT . These two special acts will entertain guests on a special “night in” from the comfort and safety of their own homes. Proceeds from the event will benefit Airdrie and District Hospice Society and will be directed towards Palliative Care , Grief and general programs for Adults and Children in Airdrie and the surrounding area.

Give Hope</h1>An evening of laughs for the whole family <hr>Headliner JEAN PAULTrinidadian-born, Brooklyn raised and currently resident of Toronto, comedian Jean Paul has always had an innate sense of humour. Maybe it&rsquo;s because of his curious nature; maybe it&rsquo;s because of his light-hearted view on life. Whatever the reason, Jean knew at an early age that a career in comedy was right for him. Since then, Jean has traveled extensively across Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, South Africa and the U.K., performing at such legendary venues as the Apollo in New York, the Comedy Store in London, and at Place des Arts in Montreal. No stranger to the festival circuit, Jean has performed at Just For Laughs, Halifax and Winnipeg comedy Festivals and among other credits has written for and toured with Russell Peters.Opening Act LAURIE ELLIOTTLaurie Elliott is a stand-up comic, actor and television writer. &nbsp;She is a winner of the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award and is a four-time winner of Best Female Stand Up at The Canadian Comedy Awards. &nbsp;Laurie recently opened for the hilarious Arsenio Hall and he was a delight!Her stand-up credits include the Montreal&#39;s Just For Laughs Festival (where she was chosen by the late, great Joan Rivers to perform on her final Gala show), the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Comedy Factory in Rotterdam, Raw Comedy Club in Stockholm, the SheDot Comedy Festival in Toronto, and a gala run at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival in South Africa.&nbsp;About Airdrie and District Hospice Society Airdrie and District Hospice Society is a grassroots organization working to bring end of life care to the Airdrie area to keep palliative care patients close to home and to their loved ones. The society provides compassionate care to patients and their families, respite care for caregivers, as well as grief and bereavement support to those who have lost a loved one. For the last 10 years, Airdrie and District Hospice Society has been offering free programs and services to citizens of Airdrie, Balzac, Beiseker, Carstairs, Crossfield, Irricana, Kathryn, Keoma and Madden.
