GHOST [DIGITAL FOLK VR Edition]  <a href="https://plasticorchidfactory.ca/projects.html#digital" target="_blank">Digital Folk</a> is a special project for plastic orchid factory. What began in 2013 as a seed of an idea grew into a complex, multi-media research-based performance project that looked at how video game culture, community and embodiment intersected. Since its premiere in 2016, Digital Folk has been presented over 50+ times to audiences in community halls and galleries across Turtle Island.  On December 3, we invite you to join us in closing this project with the same spirit of care, innovation and a hint of irreverence with which it was conceived. We would be grateful to honour this history of collaborative efforts with you!  Some extra info to help you plan: Come as you are. Play the games with us, join the performance, or watch as a wallflower. Everything goes. There is a non-toxic haze and some flashing lights. Sunglasses and earplugs are welcome. There will be a bar, tap only. Come and go from the space as you wish. The evening transforms into a casual after-party. We’d love to hang out and play some games with you.Attending both loops is an option! Please register for 1 or 2 loops as desired. The show will be archived by 360 cameras* <h3>*Please note: by coming to this show, you will be a part of the final archive, a 360 virtual reality [VR] capture which will be edited and reinstalled for exhibition as GHOST [Digital Folk VR Edition] during the Dancing On The Edge Fest, July 12-15 at Left of Main.
